This week on Soulful Snaps, my heart is overflowing.
Ten months ago, I set a goal that felt big and slightly impossible — to photograph an iconic New Zealand fashion brand. I dreamed about it, visualised it, whispered it into the universe… and then, out of the blue, came the message that would change everything.
Mel, the incredible woman behind Portfolio Model Agency, reached out to say she was collaborating with Nina from Metropol on a feature celebrating The Crossing and all the stunning fashion brands within the space for cup week 2025. Before I knew it, I was saying an enthusiastic “Yes!” and flinging my studio door open to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The day of the shoot was everything I love about photography — fast-paced, creative, heartfelt, and real. We were all a mix of nerves and excitement, each bringing our own vulnerability and magic to the table.
It reminded me that your energy matters. The vibe you bring every day leaves a lasting impression.

As I stood there behind the lens, surrounded by an amazing team — stylists, content creators, and phenomenal models — I realised how far I’d come. That the goals we set aren’t just dreams; they’re anchors pulling us closer to who we’re meant to become.
